Dear Camp Chaverim Families,
We have all been looking forward to a fun-filled summer camp at the Hebrew Academy. After thorough planning and safety considerations, it is with great disappointment that we share the news that the 2020 Camp Chaverim program will not be happening this summer. Hebrew Academy has not been given city or county clearance to open its building as a camp being we are registered as a school.
Although Camp will not open, we are investing maximum effort and time into planning for the safe opening of the 2020/2021 school year to ensure that our staff and student body will be protected and that our campus will be properly set up and equipped according to the CDC guidelines.
I will miss seeing all of you and your children this summer. I always look forward to the summer and working with the younger children and seeing and speaking with all of you every day. It gives me such joy to go in and out of all the camp rooms and watch the smiling faces of your children as they learn new things, play, sing, and swim over the summer months.
My wonderful staff of teachers and counselors will be back next summer and hope to see you next year.
Stay safe and healthy,
Camp Chaverim Director
