Hebrew Academy's Miriam Stern Rosenblatt Elementary School kicked off our year’s theme of Kindness with “Ned’s Kindness Adventure” this past week. Students were treated to a lively and entertaining show that promoted positive messages including: Caring is Cool, Include Others, I Can Make Friends Anywhere, Each Person Matters A lot, and Different Can Be Good. Some handmade Kenyan treasure merchandise was available for purchase after the show with a portion of the sales going to build wells with clean water for communities in Kenya, and to remind the students about kindness.
Here is what some of our students had to say after the show:
- Aviella Kunis- “I love that people are so kind at this school. When I was in Kindergarten, everyone welcomed me!”
- Ava Abitebol- “ I learned in the show that just because someone does not look like you, doesn’t mean that they don’t do the same things as you.”
- Dani Kruger- “Different can be Good”
Eliana Wolfson- “Kind is the New Cool”
Ruthie Assaraf- “Being nice isn’t hard, yet it makes a big difference”
We are looking forward to a great year filled with Kindness here at Hebrew Academy!
