Second Grade Visits the Kosher Food Bank and Assembles Mishloach Manot

On Thursday, March 14, the Second Grade went to visit the Kosher Food Bank. The students learned all about what the food bank does for the Jewish community and the community-at-large.

All the food that was collected for the food bank by the Second Graders and the rest of the elementary school was then sorted and placed in bags for Mishloach Manot! The students colored and wrote a Purim message on the bags.

The Second Graders were able to do two Purim mitzvot: Matanot L’evyonim and Mishloach Manot. The best part of all was now the students know the meaningful place that our money from our Project-Based Learning Restaurant goes to at the end of the year!
