Although It is common for children to catch a cold, or back to school bug this time of year, remember, a cough and runny nose can be a COVID symptom*, err on the side of caution. If your child is at all unwell please keep him/her at home and email:
- School Nurse: lfriedman@rasg.org
- Classroom Teachers: first initial and last name @rasg.org, ie Jane Smith jsmith@rasg.org
- Indicate if your child in grades K-12 will join HAConnectEd during their illness.
If you, or any member of your household, tests positive for COVID, notify Nurse Lynn via: lfriedman@rasg.org, and refer to our Medical Guidelines Handbook at: https://www.hebrewacademymiami.org/haconnected
Returning to campus after an illness:
- Children must be symptom free without benefit of medication for at least 48 hours and cleared by a doctor, with a doctor’s note, that is submitted and approved by Nurse Lynn, before returning to school.
- If your child has two or more symptoms, he/she will need to be quarantined for 14 days if no COVID test is provided. If a COVID test is completed and the result is negative, then the requirements above are to be followed for returning to school.
