Elementary and Middle School Students Celebrate Chag HaSigd

Students in Ivrit classes in the Elementary and Middle School are celebrating Chag HaSigd, the holiday of the Ethiopian Jewish Community, which is celebrated on the 29th of Cheshvan. Elementary students saw an interview with Naftali Aklum, the brother of the pioneer who helped bring the jewish community from Ethiopia to Eretz Israel. Students also enjoyed a “trip to Israel”  with the B'not Sherut as they learn about Operation Moses, which took place 40 years ago.
