This year, 23 high school teams competed in the Jewish Leadership Academy Hackathon, where students were presented with a real-world challenge and given just five hours to build a website or app as their solution. Hebrew Academy 11th graders Ness Sasson-Gelman and Yosef Kopel rose to the challenge and took home first place! Their winning project was a website designed to help small business owners determine which type of loan best fits their needs, providing a clear and practical tool to navigate what can often be a confusing process. The judges, Michael Assraf, Lando Kravetz, Samuel Morhaim, and Steven Price, were so impressed with their presentation that they approached the team afterward to express interest in investing in the project. A special thank you to their teacher, Ms. Angie Lopez, whose guidance and support helped prepare them for this opportunity. We are incredibly proud of Ness and Yosef for representing Hebrew Academy with innovation, skill, and confidence! Categories (tags): AcademicsHigh SchoolScienceSTEAM
