This week in Grow Torah, the second graders had a very hands-on experience in the garden. As an introduction, they learned that in this week’s Parsha, Parsha Ki Teitzei we receive the agricultural halachot (laws) that instruct us to give some of what we grow to those in need. The Torah teaches us that when someone needs help, we should share with them. Take what we have and show generosity to others. Out in the garden, the second graders enjoyed doing many garden activities which will prepare the garden for future harvesting. They transplanted kale, planted carrot seeds, weeded, fluffed the soil and spun the compost bin. Categories (tags): ElementaryScienceTorah Values
