On Wednesday night, our community gathered for a deeply meaningful Names, Not Numbers® documentary film premiere, led by our incredible 8th grade students. We were honored to welcome Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner, who shared meaningful remarks and helped underscore the importance of preserving Holocaust memory for future generations. Our students took on the role of historians and storytellers, helping preserve the testimonies of Holocaust survivors Eric Lipetz, Laszlo Selly, and Rivka Wiznitzer with care, respect, and purpose. With guidance from faculty members Judy Neufeld, Judy Stoner, and Irina Ustoyev, our 8th graders helped ensure that each survivor is remembered not as a number, but as a person with a name, a story, and a legacy.
