Our first graders had a blast celebrating the 100th day of school with fun, hands-on activities across math, reading, and writing! In math, they worked to reveal a “mystery picture” while practicing counting and grouping by tens. In writing, students shared creative responses to “What would you do if you had $100?” Ideas ranged from buying a Lamborghini to buying food for those in need. Reading connections came to life with a special 100th-day trail mix: each of the ten items represented a story or character from our author studies, such as popcorn for Knuffle Bunny.
