On Wednesday, our community came together for a beautiful Hachnasat Sefer Torah. The celebration truly began the night before, at our Kavod Sefer Torah event, where we welcomed Sephardic rabbis to sign the Torah and share brief remarks in honor of the occasion. This is the first Sephardic Sefer Torah ever dedicated to our school, by our parents Jay and Avital Cohen. Then came a huge community celebration – dancing together under a chuppah as we escorted the Torah into the Fancy and Jimmy Saka Beit Midrash, where generations of students will use it for years to come. Thank you to Jay and Avital Cohen for dedicating this Sefer Torah to our school! Categories (tags): CommunityTorah Values
