Much like choosing items from a restaurant menu, the third graders select specific learning components that match their individual needs and interests. Each option connects to skills and concepts covered in class. Integral parts of the menu include opportunities to extend learning, and activities that reinforce skills. The menu offers the students different ways to learn and demonstrate their understanding through different modalities. Researching topics of interest, creating Google Slide presentations, making informative brochures, and word work activities are some of the options they are able to choose from. The students look forward to, and eagerly participate in these learning stations. Categories (tags): AcademicsElementarySTEAM
