The Third Grade Maps Energy Transfers

The third graders observed energy transfers by planning and conducting experiments. Students engaged in hands-on activities at each station, where they operated a toy to understand the energy transfers required for its function. Students described instances where energy moved from one place or object to another or changed from one form to another. They created a map of these energy transfers. They made careful observations and considered each other’s opinions during the process.
