On Thursday morning, in commemoration of Yom HaShoah, our high school students took part in a powerful and reflective visit to the Holocaust Memorial in Miami Beach.

They had the rare and meaningful opportunity to hear from Jack Wachtel, a 100-year-old Holocaust survivor, who shared his personal story of resilience and survival. His words left a lasting impact on students and faculty alike. He even offered our students special brachot.

As they walked through the Memorial, students engaged with the exhibits and took time to reflect on the magnitude of lives lost. In a moving tribute, our 12th grade students participated in the reading of names of Holocaust victims—an act of remembrance that ensured each name was spoken, honored, and not forgotten.
