Back to School Guide 2021

Warriors, it's never too early to start preparing for back to school! In this guide you will find everything you need to get started, including summer reading, school supplies information, updates on uniforms, swag, and so much more!

The First Day of School is Monday, August 23.

As our community confronts the daily and varied changes of COVID-19, and after learning more about the highly contagious and transmissible Delta variant, we utilized the expertise of our Medical Advisory Committee and seriously considered the input from our parents, faculty, staff, Board of Directors, and community members to formulate a balanced, thoughtful, and flexible COVID policy. Below you will find our policy guidelines and a brief overview of our plan. Please review each in its entirety:

  • For the 13.5 days of school before the Sukkot holiday, masks will be required indoors for all staff, and for students in Grades K-12.  If the COVID-19 positivity rate in Miami Dade County decreases to under 10% before the Sukkot break, I, along with our Medical Advisory Committee, will evaluate giving parents the choice to opt-out of masks with a signed waiver.
  • Masks will NOT be required outdoors starting the first day of school.
  • Masks will NOT be required for ECE students starting the first day of school (Infant-PreK).
  • No COVID testing will be required for entry into school on the first day.
  • Remote learning (HAConnectED) capabilities for students will not be offered.
  • Please refer to the COVID-19 Policies and Procedures for comprehensive details about protocols for COVID exposure, illness, and other important procedures.
  • All after-school activities, including aftercare, are scheduled to begin after the Chagim.
  • We hope to allow scheduled guests and service providers/therapists back on campus after the Chagim.
  • Previously scheduled events for the week before school starts will be modified. Details will follow shortly.
