“That’s it, you can do it!! We are almost there.” I like to think of this time of year as the final stretch in the school marathon. The finish line and reward, summer vacation, is in clear sight. Everyone has trained and conditioned themselves to get to this place in the race. It is important to finish strong and focus on the progress that has been made and use that progress to motivate new learning and interests.
Here are a few suggestions to help combat the “End of the year slump”:
Have a positive attitude and look back towards past academic accomplishments
Make homework and studying for long exams manageable by splitting the time into small segments with built in brain breaks
Be proactive and be sure to complete assignments in a timely manner
Use a calendar or planner to help organize the last few weeks of school and prioritize tests, assignments, etc.
Let’s work together to ensure we have first place finishers in our marathon. I look forward to hearing all about everyone's summer plans and vacations.
Shabbat Shalom and have a wonderful summer!! I’ll meet you at the starting line for the 2018/2019 school year.
