On December 19th, the third graders enjoyed a fun-filled day. Classes were separated. The girls came dressed in beautiful Shabbat clothing in honor of Rosh Chodesh. They enjoyed making picture frames with Morah Schochet. A colorful backing was added and then each girl wrote something nice about their classmates as the frames were passed around. The girls were happy to take home their picture frames which included these kind and thoughtful messages from their friends.
The boys had a fun activity as well. Mr. James, a special visitor from Darren Buckner’s Martial Arts School, came to speak with the boys about respect, self control, and focus. The students were inspired by the instructor. Some of our students are already participating in this program. The instructor and the students showed us some really cool moves. Information about this program was sent home. We want to give a big shout out to Joseph Kopel, Daniel Steinmetz, and Shalom Saka, for making this event happen!
Rosh Chodesh is always special. Thank you to Morah Schochet and Mrs. Bensimon for always organizing wonderful activities and events.
