Seniors invited our Pre-K students to join them for a special bridge experiment! Seniors in the Honors Experimental science class were learning about the structural components of bridges by competing against one another in a popsicle bridge contest. The bridges had to span two feet, and carry a minimum of two text books. Bridges were scored based on maximum weight held divided by the number of popsicle sticks used, so the bridge that used the fewest sticks but held the most weight won. This was the end of a until on bridges that also involved contests involving creating straw bridges, paper tables, and learning about the basics of the physics of bridge construction. Our little Warriors are also learning about bridges, and loved joining in on the testing fun!
