High School Students Compete in Business Innovation Challenge at FIU

On Tuesday, eight Hebrew Academy students attended and competed in the Business Innovation Challenge held at Florida International University. The program, run by The Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship, is held once a year and Hebrew Academy was one of ten schools chosen to attend. Students were broken into teams of three and given a challenge to bring internet accessibility to third world countries and pitch their ideas in a one minute presentation to judges. Our students impressed with wonderful ideas, from a play on food trucks serving as routing stations, to signing agreements with large corporate internet companies, to bringing wireless service to places that need it. The Hebrew Academy represented well and should be a force to be reckoned with at the 2019 event.

Students who participated:

Eliot De Paz (11th Grade)
Avigail Kahn (11th Grade)
Danelle Levi (10th Grade)
Batya Fruhman (11th Grade)
Jaclyn Nussenblatt (11th Grade)
Michelle Behar (11th Grade)
Ariel Arwas (11th Grade)
