High School Honors Science Students Debate Possibility of Alien Life

Honors students recently held a debate on the possibility of alien life.  By utilizing what they learned in biology class in addition to their own research which ranged from astronomy to theoretical physics, they formed arguments for and against the existence of extraterrestrials. The debate was judged by a panel of faculty and students who presented all the debate teams with questions at the close of the discussion.  Judges indicated their initial and final opinion so that the winner could be determined based on the persuasiveness of student arguments rather than the predetermined views of the judges.
