We are pleased to announce that Gabriel Apoj ’17 and Malka Suster ’17 were named the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the Hebrew Academy (RASG) Class of 2017.
Apoj has attended Hebrew Academy since Kindergarten and will be attending Harvard University in the Fall pursuing a major in Biomedical Engineering. Suster started her career at the Hebrew Academy when she was just two-years-old and plans to begin at the University of Florida in the summer before heading off to Seminary in Israel for the next year. She would like to study “something in the medical field,” but is not quite sure yet.
Overall, the pair have enjoyed their time at the Hebrew Academy.
“I definitely will miss the people here,” said Apoj. “I am obviously used to this environment. But I think it is going to be good for me and I am going to grow.”
“The school has taught me to be an independent thinker and make the most of my classes,” said Suster.
We congratulate Gabe and Malka on achieving this prestigious honor and wish them much success in the future!
