Warrior Athletics is Making Noise with Multiple WINS!

THURSDAY NIGHT GAME RECAPS:

(Elementary) Girls Basketball - 
The Elementary Lady Warriors (3-0-1) hosted the Lady Rams from Posnack East last night in our gymnasium and took control late on their way to a 19-12 victory to remain undefeated on the season! Gaby Rosenberg led the Lady Warriors with 17 points and 8 rebounds while teammate Dina Eliav was great on defense and finished with 4 steals and 6 rebounds. Shira Dahabash was great down low for the Lady Warriors and finished with 2 points and a game high 11 rebounds. The Lady Warriors will now take the weekend off before hosting the Lady Bulldogs from BMA on Tuesday, February 15th. Tipoff is set for 3:00 PM and the game will be played in our gymnasium. 

(4th Grade) Boys Basketball - The 4th Grade Warriors (3-0) also hosted the Rams from Posnack East last night and jumped out to an early lead while cruising to a 25-2 victory. Micha Rosenberg led the Warriors with 13 points and 5 steals while teammate Omer Kleinman added 4 points and 3 steals. Jacob Feldman, Zeke Gdanski, Julian Kavana and Henry Schwirtz all added baskets in the win while Daniel Gibly led the team in rebounds with a game high 11. The Warriors will now take the weekend off before hosting the Bulldogs from BMA on Tuesday, February 15th. Tipoff is set for 3:45 PM and the game will be played in our gymnasium. 

(5th Grade) Boys Basketball - The 5th Grade Warriors (4-0) hosted the Rams from Posnack East in the final game of the triple header last night and controlled the game from tipoff on their way to a 25-14 victory! Julius Feldman led the Warriors with 8 points and 6 rebounds while teammate Zach Rothman added 7 points and 8 rebounds. Ilay Rosenberg was also great for the Warriors and added 6 points to go along with his 5 assists and 4 steals. Lev Shiffman added a basket in the second half and Jude Barthes was great on the glass and finished with a game high 10 rebounds. The Warriors will now take the weekend off before hosting the Bulldogs from BMA on Tuesday, February 15th. Tipoff is set for 4:30 PM and the game will be played in our gymnasium. 

(6th/7th Grade) Boys Basketball - The 6th/7th Grade Warriors (1-0) traveled to IAL foe ACES in their first game of the season and got down early before storming back to take a 34-24 victory! Dean Wasserman led the Warriors with 14 points and a game high 10 rebounds while teammate Michael Hackmon added 9 points and 7 rebounds. Aiden Gibly was also great for the Warriors and added 6 points and 6 assists while teammate Eytan Plotkin added a momentum changing three pointer in the win. The Warriors will now take the weekend off before hosting the Bulldogs from BMA on Tuesday, February 15th. Tipoff is set for 5:15 PM and the game will be played in our gymnasium. 

(7th/8th Grade) Boys Basketball - The 7th/8th Grade Warriors (1-1) also traveled up north to ACES for a battle with the Eagles and got down early while falling short by a score of 44-28. Zee Itzkwoitz led the Warriors with 12 points and 4 steals while teammate Caleb Gdanski added 9 points and 4 assists. Simcha Rosenberg added 6 points and 5 rebounds while teammate Zalman Wuensch finished with 8 rebounds. The Warriors are back in action on Monday, February 14th when they host the Jewish Academy of Hollywood. Tipoff is set for 4:00 PM and the game will be played in our gymnasium. 

(Varsity) Girls Basketball - The Varsity Lady Warriors (14-2) traveled up north to Donna Klein for the FHSAA 2A Regional Quarterfinals and Eliana Wolfson hit a three pointer with less than 5 seconds to give her team the 58-55 victory over the Lady Eagles and a spot in the top 16 in the state! Eliana Wolfson led the Lady Warriors with 23 points and 6 steals while teammate Yakira Wolfson added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Sophie Lurie also played a great game for the Lady Warriors and finished with 13 points and 6 rebounds. Brielle Katz did a great job distributing the ball around as she totaled a game high 9 assists. With the win, the Lady Warriors will now travel to Miami Christian on Tuesday, February 15th to take on the Lady Victors in the FHSAA 2A Regional Semifinals. Tipoff is set for 7:00 PM and the game will be played at Miami Christian.
