Third Grade Students Program Robot Cars and Drive Various Distances

As part of a STEM lesson, students in Mrs. Bensimon’s Third Grade class were challenged to build and program a robot car to drive as close to a marker as possible without knocking it over. Students had time to practice making their robots drive various distances. Once all of the robot cars were programmed, students took turns driving from the starting line. As they worked on this project, students had to measure, estimate, and document their results.
