Third Grade Completes Lego Engineering Animal Studies Unit

The third graders just completed a Science through Lego Engineering Animal Studies Unit. Each team of students researched an endangered animal and learned about its structure and behavior. They explained how structures determine animal functions. They then described major elements of a habitat for specific animals. They collected information and explained how behaviors help animals survive in their habitats. The students built and programmed robotic animal models. Each team of students created a large poster displaying their research and created a Google Slides presentation.  Our team of students won the Robotics Festival Research Presenter Award for technology integration, research, and functional robotic animal model.
