Senior Seminar Kicks Off with Startup and Entrepreneurship

As part of our second semester curriculum, our 12th graders are now in their first week of Senior Seminar, a program that was started to accommodate and provide the seniors opportunities to experience and learn about topics that would not have been covered in a typical classroom. This week was start-up and entrepreneurship, and seniors spent three days off campus.

Day 1: Campus tour and mini training at IronHack coding school in Miami.
Day 2: Seniors attended the Miami Small Business Expo and participated in workshops.
Day 3: Wynwood startup tour where they visited Metro1 Developers, then Outform Digital Designs, and a closed tour of one their biggest clients (Amazon, Apple, and Google) then MKDA Architecture (innovators in design globally), and lunch at Zak The Baker. The day ended with a private tour of Mana Wynwood and a Q and A with Moish Mana, founder and visionary.
