Last week, Grade 1 and Grade 4 celebrated Poem in Your Pocket Day. Normally, Poem in Your Pocket takes place during National Poetry month, but this year it was during Pesach break so we celebrated later. Grade 4 has been learning about poetry since before Pesach break and they were excited to share their knowledge with the first graders. The students chose their favorite poems to share with their first grade friends. After partnering up with the first graders, the pairs shared the poems. Then they added illustrations to the poems. At the end, the groups shared their poems and illustrations. All the students enjoyed learning and spending time together!
