Middle School This Week: Student Council Elections & 6th Grade Girls Hold First Event of the Year

Middle School has had some exciting events take place over the past week! Last Friday the middle school student council elections took place. All students running for various positions gave speeches to their peers and teachers during our Friday assembly. Following the speeches, all middle school students had the opportunity to vote for their representatives. Morah Devorah sent out the announcement of the winners who will make up the Student Council this year! President: Yona Groisman; Vice Presidents: Joseph Levi and Eliora Gdanski; 7th grade representatives: Cole Benveniste-Plitt, Simone Weinberg, and Matthew Muhlrad; 6th Grade Representatives: Esther Laoui and Jack Ciment.

This week our 6th grade girls had their first event for the new school year! The girls were invited to an afterschool socially distanced activity with Morah Devorah on Wednesday afternoon. The girls had an opportunity to meet their new classmates, create a time capsule, and participate in a Zumba class. Through fun activities the girls were able to have the chance to get to know each other outside of the virtual world.

Next week will be the Middle School Virtual Back to School Night. It will be held on Tuesday evening from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm. Middle school parents will have an opportunity to meet their child's teachers and learn about the classes they will be taking this year.

Stay tuned for more updates from Middle School next week!
