Middle School Students Express Middot through Chinese Calligraphy

Historically, Chinese calligraphy banners are used as an artistic piece to express emotions, feelings throughout holidays, or simply communication that others would like to share. In our Middle School Chinese elective course, we have implemented and integrated a lot of things that are going on around school. And today we integrated the 24 middot or character traits that the Middle School has been shining a light on. Tomorrow, the students will go on a field trip to see a movie where they will learn more about the middot of kindness. In order to prepare students for this field trip they practiced Chinese calligraphy by making a banner with the middot and additionally made individual kindness posters to share with their peers.
