High School Students Take Extra Time for Science

While the Judaic Staff was receiving training this week in Project Based Learning by the Buck Institute, the science department made excellent use of the time by running extended science labs in all science classes. Students from multiple classes came and went, seamlessly, to science lab on and off all day, working on both class experiments and projects for the "Invention Convention" coming in early April. Sophomore scientists made use of lab disks in their longer lab periods which stretched as long as two hours without losing interest and remaining engaged in discovery. Although we will be glad to have our Judiacs staff back refreshed and energized, the science department loved having the extended stretches of time.
