First Grade Visits Miami Beach Library

This week, First Grade went to visit the Miami Beach Regional Library. The students were welcomed and greeted by the children's librarian, Mary Jane who entertained them with a couple of read alouds and songs. "The Best Seat in Second Grade", by Katharine Kenah was enjoyed by all. The students loved sitting in the children's wing of the library. The librarian showed the children around the library so that they could select books on their grade level. They then had a chance to sit, relax and read to themselves. The First Graders had a wonderful afternoon. They look forward to going back with their families to get their own library card and check out some amazing books. Thank you to Mary Jane for sharing her love of books with us.
