Mrs. Sue Enis has been the Director of College Counseling at Hebrew Academy for thirteen years. Prior to moving to Florida 15 years ago, she served as the Director of College Counseling at Solomon Schechter High School in New Jersey. Sue has been a college counselor for over 30 years, working in private, public and parochial schools in the Northeast as well as Florida.
Dr. Dara Lieber was born and raised in New Jersey. She went to Brandeis University for college and then decided that the fashion world was her calling. After living in NYC and working in the fashion world, she felt she needed more. She went to Columbia University for a Masters in Counseling. As the weather turned colder, Dara decided to move to Florida where her parents were relocating and husband would be finishing law school. She finished her Master’s of Science degree quickly at Barry University and got her first job as a guidance counselor at Hillel. After being there for a short period, Hebrew Academy was to be in her future. After joining the Hebrew Academy in 2002 she received her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in Educational Leadership and Administration. Soon thereafter she became the Assistant Principal.
Mrs. Reena Rabovsky received her M.S.Ed. in School Psychology from Queens College in New York. As a school psychologist, she is delighted to facilitate students' academic, social, and emotional growth. She especially enjoys collaborating with students, parents, community members, and school staff to create a positive learning environment. Reena also loves spending time with her husband and three children.
Dr. Susie London is a licensed clinical psychologist and nationally certified school psychologist. She grew up in North Miami Beach but ventured north for college and graduate studies. She received a Bachelor of Science from Northwestern University, a Masters of Science in Social Work from Columbia University and a Doctorate in clinical and school psychology from the Ferkauf School of Psychology of Yeshiva University. Susie completed her doctoral residency at Nova Southeastern University where she is now an adjunct professor, teaching a cognitive assessment course to graduate students in the School Psychology doctoral program.
Ms. Amy Somek is our Development Director. She was born and raised in Birmingham Michigan and is the sixth of seven children. Amy received a BA in Psychology from Michigan State University and a Masters in Social Work from Florida International University. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, skiing, boating and working out. She has been living in Miami for 19 years and currently resides in Surfside with her four beautiful children.

Mrs. Sandy Bernstein attended college at SUNY at Buffalo (3 Years) and relocated to Ohio after getting married. She graduated in 1975 from Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Secondary Education. Upon graduating, she immediately pursued her interest in computer programming. Before coming to the Hebrew Academy in 2007, she was Supervisor of Data Processing for Shaker Heights City Schools for 13 years until she and her husband Jesse got tired of the lake effect snow storms in Cleveland! They relocated to Aventura, Florida, in 2007, when Sandy became the School Software Administrator at the Hebrew Academy. Sandy is in her 10th year at the Hebrew Academy and absolutely loves it here. As School Software Administrator/21st Century Learning Specialist, Sandy works closely with the faculty, staff, and parents, her family away from home! She is the proud mom/grandma of two wonderful children, Dennis (Ali) and Jenny (PJ), and three adorable grandchildren, Lily, Casey, and Elsie.
Ms. Suzanne Gindi has been a member of the Hebrew Academy family since 2010. She grew up in North Woodmere, N.Y. and Deal, N.J. She started in our Early Childhood department, moved to Technology in 2014, and teaches aquatics at the Hebrew Academy Summer Camp. Her daughter is a proud student and Suzanne is excited to watch her grow at school. You can count on Suzanne to tell you What’s HAppening!
Our amazing Maintenance Team literally keeps Hebrew Academy's physical plant running. From hourly and daily housekeeping to building repairs, this team can do it all. Their "can do" spirit is always accompanied by a sincere smile the everyone appreciates. Hebrew Academy could not open its doors each day without them.
