Academic Enhancement

Mrs. Rachel Leubitz
Bio
Mrs. Rachel Leubitz has started her fourth year as the Academic Enhancement Program Coordinator at Hebrew Academy. She has a Bachelor's degree in Speech and Hearing Science from Ohio State University and a Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from University of South Florida. Rachel lives in Hollywood Florida and is the proud mother to four children.
Ms. Marielle Asseraf
Bio
Mrs. Marielle Asseraf is in her third year teaching at Hebrew Academy as a Middle School Academic Enhancement Program Teacher. She has a Bachelor's in Psychology and Master's degree in Educational Counseling from Canada where is originally from. She has worked as a special education teacher assistant in the Outpatient Child Psychiatry Department of the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec. She has also worked as a counselor at Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario. Additionally, Marielle has research experience in the field of child psychology and education and has presented her research at research conferences in Montreal, Ontario, and Europe (Luxembourg).
Mrs. Sara Beth Kahn
Bio
Mrs. Sara Beth Kahn joined the Hebrew Academy family and AEP team in 2014. Sara Beth and her husband have 3 children in the High School in Grades 10, 11, and 12, and two other children in Israel. She teaches ESOL (English as a Second Other Language) and reading in the elementary classes. Sara Beth earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education with a minor in Music and Psychology at Stern College and has a Masters Degree in Special Education from Hunter College. She lives in Miami Beach and is loving the climate.
Mrs. Beth Landesman
Bio
Mrs. Beth Landesman is an alumna of the Hebrew Academy. She married her high school sweetheart, and her two daughters are currently third generation students at the Hebrew Academy. Beth graduated from Stern College with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and went on to earn her Masters Degree in Exceptional Student Education, from Barry University, with an endorsement in Autism. Beth is the media center specialist as well as part of the AEP support team.
Mrs. Anat Moyal
Bio
Ms. Anat Moyal has been working at the Hebrew Academy for the past seven years. She is working toward a degree in Jewish Special Education from Hebrew College in Boston. Anat joined the Academic Enhancement Department three years ago where she works with students in Kindergarten through fifth grade focusing on Judaics and Ivrit.
Mrs. Jennifer Roffman
Bio
Mrs. Jennifer Roffman has been a teacher at Hebrew Academy for six years. For the past four years she has been working in the Academic Enhancement Program. Jennifer received her Bachelors degree in psychology from New York University and her dual Masters degree in general and special education from Hunter College. Jennifer was born and raised in Miami Beach and had the privilege of attending Hebrew Academy as a child, where her great- grandfather, grandfather, and father contributed to the establishment of the school and it's growth.
Mrs. Judy Schurz
Bio
Mrs. Judy Schurz has been working at the academy since 2003. She works with students that have no background or minimum background in Judaic Studies. Her focus is to close the gaps and create a smooth transition into the regular classes.
Mrs. Anna Tomadakis
Bio
Mrs. Anna Tomadakis has a diverse background in education. Her experience has given her the opportunity to work in various settings, ranging from her role as an Art educator, to teaching English language learners, and working with ESE populations. Anna is currently the Hebrew Academy High School AEP teacher, College Board and ACT SSD Coordinator. Anna is a parent and educator. She has assisted her three children through their educational journey. All three of her children approach learning differently Anna believes that as educators, our main goal is to guide and empower students to explore their talents and strengths, to reach their potential. Her experiences as a parent and educator have equipped her with sensitivity, to unique educational needs, and have provided her the opportunity to be a part of the Hebrew Academy Team to advocate for student success.
